Sun in 6th house ruling the 6th in Libra The Issues: With the ruler of his 6th house residing in house 6th, there is an unusual focus on his work and applying his talent and skills on behalf of others. His beliefs: The Sun represents his personal identity. John Lennon saw himself as his work. Intially, he identified with his music. Later, it was his activism on behalf of world peace. His behavior: Libra energy is used to create harmony. Initially, John used his Libra energy to express his identity as a musician and songwriter. Later, he sought to bring about harmony on a global scale and expressed his identity through the peace movement. A special note: My preliminary research indicates much difficulty when a planet resides in the house it rule. This proved especially difficult for Lennon as his individual identity was overshadowed by his role as a Beatle. The Moon in Aquarius in the 11th house ruling the 4th The issues: George W. Bush must learn to clearly perceive what is going on within his immediate environment. He must learn to discriminate between what is good and bad advice, between what is fact and what is fiction or biased (3rd house). There is likely to be conflict between what his advisors suggest and the course his God would have him take (12th house). His beliefs: These issues are a source of emotional pain. Does he follow his closest advisors or does he follow his God? His behavior: Libra energy is used to create harmony where one finds disharmony. George Bush must find a middle ground where he can follow his advisors without compromising his spiritual or moral beliefs. Leo Ascendant The Ascendant represents the image you present to the public (personality). Leo is freely expressing your individuality in a public forum. George Bush is perceived by most as confident and worthy of our attention. Overview His Sun, Moon and Ascendant are closely linked. His Sun rules his Leo Ascendant. This emphasizes a need for public attention and acceptance. His Moon is square his Sun and also rules his Sun. The square indicates tension to be resolved. Specifically . . . George W. Bush will learn most of his lessons by overcoming adversity, loss or setbacks too great to handle on his own (Sun and Moon both linked to 12th house). As a younger man, he repeatedly failed at business and responded to such difficulties through escapism (alcohol) as he felt powerless (Sun) and emotionally distraught (Moon). Later in life, he found his wife and his God. He was now finding emotional support and a higher power to lean on. As demonstrated by his behavior while President of the United States, George W. Bush appears to have chosen the path of his will (Sun ruling 1st) rather than his God (Sun in 12th). He has allowed others to influence him (Moon in 3rd) to go to war against Iraq. He has reconciled this with his Christian beliefs (12th house) by proclaiming it a war against evil. Although his presidency has been marred by both failure and natural disasters (12th house), he has surrounded himself with "yes men" to insulate himself from these setbacks (Cancer). Other planets also reinforce this behavior: Mercury in Leo in 1st house ruling 11th house The issues: George W. Bush will find that his will (1st house) is not supported by the people and resources that are needed to achieve his goals (11th house). His beliefs: These issues influence how he perceives his environment (Mercury). His behavior will be strongly influenced by whether or not he believes he must comprise to obtain the assistance of others. His behavior: Leo energy is used to communicate (Mercury) in a manner intended to persuade others to yield to his will and/or lend him their support. Uranus in Gemini in the 11th house ruling the 7th house The issues: George W. Bush will find that the people and resources needed to achieve his goals (11th house) are at odds with his intimate partners or his open enemies/rivals (7th house). His beliefs: Uranus represents the urge to resist certain demands by others that would compromise your beliefs. Who does George Bush believe is making unreasonable demands? His business associates (11th), his wife (7th), the United Nations (11th), Osama Bin Laden or Saddham Hussein (7th)? His behavior: Gemini energy is used for the gathering and sharing of information. George Bush will try to resist any demands he finds unreasonable by gathering and disseminating information related to the issues. Overview of Mercury Ruling Uranus George Bush perceives an environment opposed to his will yet he is often unwilling to compromise, even though it may cost him the support of people or institutions that could help him. Mercury and Uranus are both in aspect to his Sun (semi-sextile) and Moon (trine). Mercury stresses his will (1st) over his God (12th) and Uranus brings an unwillingness to compromise in matters involving his enemies. It appears to be his will (1st) to gain the help of others (11th) to bring down his enemies (7th) no matter what the cost (12th). |
