There are twelve signs based upon the seasons of the Earth (not star constellations).
The signs represent all combinations of the four types of energy (earth, water, air,
fire) and the three modes or states of energy (cardinal, fixed, mutable). Following is a
description of the behavior each sign challenges you to develop:
ARIES is cardinal fire. If you have a planet in Aries, you must learn how to effectively
assert your will.
TAURUS is fixed earth. If you have a planet in Taurus, you must learn to resist
anything that threatens your material security.
GEMINI is mutable air. If you have a planet in Gemini, you must learn how to
sharpen your perceptions and become more aware of what is going on in your
environment.
CANCER is cardinal water. If you have a planet in Cancer, you must learn how to use
your family and community ties as a source of strength and security.
LEO is fixed fire. If you have a planet in Leo, you must learn how to effectively
express your will to others in a public manner.
VIRGO is mutable earth. If you have a planet in Virgo, you must set your standards
high and work to continuously improve yourself in pursuit of those standards.
LIBRA is cardinal air. If you have a planet in Libra, you must learn how to effectively
deal with disharmony within your environment or relationships.
SCORPIO is fixed water. If you have a planet in Scorpio, you must learn to pay
attention to your feelings and allow yourself to be guided by them.
SAGITTARIUS is mutable fire. If you have a planet in Sagittarius, you must seek new
experience and knowledge in order to gain wisdom that you can share with the world
and help to bring about positive change.
CAPRICORN is cardinal earth. If you have a planet in Capricorn, you must develop
the self-discipline to persevere in the face of obstacles that keep you from achieving
your desired role.
AQUARIUS is fixed air. If you have a planet in Aquarius, you must learn how to
effectively resist peer pressure from your loved ones, often related to social issues.
PISCES is mutable water. If you have a planet in Pisces, you must learn how to
surrender to a higher power, effectively using prayer and meditation in order to let
spirit guide you.
